Individual actuators from LTK

Experience a new class of linear actuators: smaller, stronger & faster

Advantages

High forces, high dynamics & minimal installation space

ACTOS linear actuators from LTK offer a unique combination of high forces, high dynamics and minimal installation space. They enable the maximum integration of servo motor and spindle drive, whereby the highest forces are achieved in the smallest space. ACTOS offers an interesting alternative to hydraulics or when conventional actuators do not achieve the desired lifespan. Take advantage of our extensive expertise for a customised solution, that is tailored to your requirements. LTK ACTOS is available in a standard modular system as well as completely tailor-fit to your application. Our ACTOS can be mechanically and electrically customised to meet your needs and offers a wide range of adaptation options in terms of the surface (GMP, easy cleaning), stainless steel materials and much more.

Application

Your benefits from ACTOS linear actuators

  • Spindle drive in the form of an inverted roller screw drive, which enables exceptional high forces, speed and precision
  • Replacement of hydraulic cylinders without loss of power and identical mechanical connection.
  • Absolute reliability & high process security
  • Integrated bearings
  • Absolute position readable and known at all times
  • Customised pin layout / Encoder
  • Actuators with GMP design possible: easy to clean and maintenance-free

FAQ

Interesting facts about linear actuators

What is a linear actuator?

A linear actuator is generally a mechanical device that generates linear motion by converting rotary motion into linear motion.

The special feature of linear actuators is the simple integration of the push rod compared to a classic spindle solution.

ACTOS linear actuators are high-performance actuators with a particularly high power density.

What is the difference between a linear actuator and a linear motor?

A linear motor is a type of electric motor that produces linear motion without the need for rotating components as with conventional electric motors or linear actuators.

The advantage of linear motors is their unique accelerations and speeds. However, for most applications, linear motors are too expensive to purchase, too low in force and challenging to integrate.

Which control units are compatible with the ACTOS linear actuator?

All common industrial SPS controllers can communicate with servo / rotary encoders (Bosch Rexroth, Schneider Electric, B&R and many more).

The devices are supplied with an electronic nameplate

The make of the encoder is agreed with the customer, as is the inverter.

Is the ACTOS linear actuator also available as a stand-alone solution?

Yes, the ACTOS is also available as a stand-alone solution. We recommend the use of Metronix inverters and servo controllers, as these are particularly easy to integrate.

How much does an ACTOS linear actuator cost?

The prices for linear actuators depend on the application. The following steps are required before an offer is provided:

  1. Load spectrum (customer)
  2. Solution proposals (LTK)
  3. Installation space check (customer)
  4. Offer (LTK)
